CONGRATULATIONS!!!

This is quite possibly one of the most important days of your life, and allowing Pegasus Music Service to provide the entertainment is truly an honor.  We thank you for the opportunity.

Along with this, comes a great responsibility to get it right.  You only have 1 chance to turn your dreams into reality.  You can rehearse the Wedding Ceremony days ahead of time, but the reception is a 1 time party. Planning and communication with all people involved is the key to our success with past engagements, and will be with yours.  We talk not only with you, but will get with whomever is involved with the reception. We talk to the Hall, Caterer, Photographer, Videographer, and anybody else that is involved that night to make sure we are all on the "same page" for the events and timeline YOU want.

There is much more to being a DJ at a wedding.  From the initial planning of the event, to the introductions that night, to the final dance. We will assist you in a multitude of ways to make sure your reception is one you will remember; for the right reasons.

BEFORE THE DEAL

Before you hire me, I will meet with you personally. This is great time to get into a "draft" of your goals.   This is just the basics of what plans you have, and to make sure, in both our minds, I am able to fulfill your dreams.  Hey, honesty is best.  Sometimes this hurts my income, but I am humble enough to know I can't be all things to all people.  It is very important that you meet your DJ. (not just the business owner), before the contract gets signed.

CONTINUAL CONTACT

Hopefully, this is not a "shotgun" wedding, (is there such a thing anymore??).  Usually you are booking with us several months in advance and finalizing things with all your vendors.  We will continue to keep in touch with you to see how your plans are going, or have changed, and offer any advice as we can.  Maybe you went to another reception and saw something "cool" that you want me to look into.  I am always willing to learn and try new things.  I will give you a "wedding planning guide" to help you to plan what events you want, don't want, music played, and not, etc.

TWO WEEKS BEFORE THE DATE

This is it!!  Here we sit down and iron out all the details.  From the dress and intractability of the DJ, (yes I have different styles, tux, tails, duster...) to the last dance.  We will help you set it all down on paper.  What music you want, and don't. What dances you want, and don't,  any special announcements, a timeline,  etc.  We do as much pre planning before the event as we can to make sure it goes flawlessly.

CONTACT WITH OTHER VENDORS

This is where Pegasus Music Service excels above the competition.  I will get with all the vendors involved with the reception.  I don't know of anybody doing this, and it is SO important!

RECEPTION HALL: What room? How big?  How the room will be set up?  These are all important for me to know as to what equipment to bring. Will I will need extra lights, speakers?   If I have never been to the hall before, I will try to go there and "scope things" out  in person to make sure I have the right equipment needed.

CATERER:  What type of dinner will it be (sit down, family, buffet). How long does their serving usually take? Do they like the cake cut before the dinner so it can be cut and served for dessert?

PHOTOGRAPHY / VIDEO: 

This is one of the most common, and easiest areas fora reception to go wrong.  Ever been to a reception, and the Dj couldn't start dancing because the photographer was out taking a "sunset shot"? (some are awesome!)  Or noticed the DJ announce "time for the bouquet toss" and the photographer is not there?  It is EXTREAMELY important that the photograper and DJ work together to make sure your precious memories are captured. I need to know how long they stay, what shots they like, etc. I really try hard to work with these vendors.

FOLLOW UP

No Matter how much planning and effort I put in, there is always room for improvement.  I will send you a follow up questionnaire a few weeks after the event.  PLEASE fill it out. AND BE HONEST!  If you feel I screwed something up, let me know, so the next bride and groom won't have to go thru the same thing.  If you really like something I did, let me know also.  Often we try something "new" and wonder what you thought and how it went over with the crowd!
